Job Description

Our client a public philanthropic foundation that supports sustainable community driven development is looking for a Digital Marketing Officer.  The Main Objective of this role will be to support initiatives to improve the organizations digital reach and engage its audiences.

The Digital Marketing Officer will be the key person behind digital marketing and social media management, digital analytics, email marketing, website management and excellent customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and internally produce engaging content for the organization and project social media pages i.e., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Create appealing Digital Ads for different audiences & apply best practices to drive web traffic and generate leads
  • Maintain dashboards to improve content & engage against key metrics across the digital communication channels
  • Produce and manage weekly e-newsletters and recommend new opportunities to engage subscribers to increase reach and grow the database list
  • Working with the website developer’s team, maintain the organization’s website by regularly publishing, editing, and updating content on the sites
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Onboarding of partners in line with  local eligibility guidelines
  • Working closely with the team to generate sales leads and close deals


Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, development s studies or any related field
  • 5 years on job experience in delivering effective and innovative digital marketing and communication campaigns and strategies
  • Experience managing social media platforms in a professional capacity
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Solid understanding of web metrics, and digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze, and interpret data
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, and Google Analytics
  • Demonstrate understanding of email marketing principles
  • Experience managing websites using a content management system
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills as well as presentation and facilitation skills
  • Intermediate IT skills especially in web platforms
  • Self-driven and able to deliver results with minimum supervision
  • Fit within a team working environment
  • Personal commitment to continuous development and learning
  • Ability to travel when needed
