JOB ADVERT – AREA SALES MANAGERS

Our Client is looking for aggressive, performance driven Area Sales Managers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building out sales strategy, sales projection reports, and sales pipeline. He/she will monitor sales performance with the goal of expanding the company’s market share. The selected candidate will collaboratively coordinate with external distributors and internal sales team.

Key Responsibilities and Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the Area Sales Strategy in line with the overall business strategy
  • Coordinate Sales, Marketing and Distribution activities within the area; eg ensure promotions are implemented effectively
  • Monthly Performance reports, Comparative reports, Trends analysis, Client status reports and new clients, Sales projections; Manages and measures sales targets daily and takes corrective action
  • Supports the front line staff in building strong relationships with each customer by identifying business growth opportunities
  • Builds a vibrant, energized team through dynamic ‘rallying’ leadership style
  • Develops & implements Internal Controls e.g. in terms of staff attendance, budgets, uses of allocated resources etc.
  • Develop account plans and manage key accounts
  • Business Development (direct and indirect sales) – Develop expand new channels, products and markets
  • Obtain knowledge of competitor activities and market insights to adjust sales tactics and strategies
  • Training, needs assessment and planning of the team
  • Being an ambassador of the company and brands
  • Meet set targets (measure sale activities, monitoring pipeline, modalities of increasing average sales, strict deadlines).

Qualification Required

  • Relevant Business Degree
  • Minimum 3-4 Years’ experience in a similar position in an FCMG Company
  • Professional qualification in a related field would be an added advantage
  • Computer Literacy with knowledge in CRM systems.
  • Driving skills (holder of a valid driving license class BCE)
  • Team management/Leadership skills with effective coaching skills
  • Emotional Intelligence skills
  • Dynamic, analytical and self-driven individual with the ability to work under pressure and who has a passion for good work
  • Sales management skills and master of execution-“ expert Salesman”
  • Adequate asset management skills
  • Creative and innovative
  • High degree of integrity and strong ethics
  • Report writing/Data Analysis skills
